Lower Margibi County — January 16, 2026 — Excitement is building in Lower Margibi as final preparations are completed for the official dedication of a newly constructed bridge linking the MBI Community to Dolo Town in District #2, Margibi County.
The bridge, constructed under the leadership of District #2 Representative Ivar K. Jones through the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE), is intended to address long-standing transportation challenges and improve connectivity between the two neighboring communities.
The dedication ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., and is expected to attract local government officials, traditional leaders, community members, and invited guests from across Margibi County and beyond.
For many years, residents of MBI Community and Dolo Town have struggled to cross between the two areas, particularly during the rainy season when flooding and poor road conditions often made travel difficult and, at times, dangerous. The lack of reliable access has affected daily activities, limited economic opportunities, and hindered access to essential services.
With the completion of the bridge, residents anticipate significant improvements in movement, trade, and social interaction.
