China Reaffirms Commitment to Liberia at Embassy Media Briefing, Outlined Strategic Priorities Under FOCAC Framework. On July 3rd, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held the Media Briefing. Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, attended the meeting. Representatives from 14 media agencies, including the Spoon Network, the Daily Observer, The New Dawn, Frontpage Africa and The News, among others, attended.

Yin introduced the China-Liberia relations, the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, the commemorative activities marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Establishment of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed).

He also outlined China’s position on the Taiwan question. Yin emphasized that China is willing to earnestly implement the guideline of President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter to the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and promote more fruitful cooperation between China and Liberia. Yin also addressed questions. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
