Pres. Boakai Signs Book of Condolence for Late Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari

Executive Mansion, Monrovia– President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., today visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria near Monrovia to sign the Book of Condolence in honor of the late former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari.


President Boakai expressed heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria on the passing of the former leader, describing him as a steadfast statesman and committed servant of the Nigerian people whose leadership left an indelible mark on West Africa and the African continent.


In his message, President Boakai said, “The Government and People of Liberia stand in solemn solidarity with the Federal Republic of Nigeria as you mourn the loss of a towering figure in African politics and governance. President Buhari’s legacy of service and devotion to national and continental peace will not be forgotten.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
President Boakai was received by Madam Rahmat O. Mohammed, Charge d’Affaires, and other members of the Nigerian diplomatic mission.
The President extended sympathy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the bereaved family, and the people of Nigeria, noting the longstanding bond of brotherhood between Liberia and Nigeria.
President Boakai’s visit highlights Liberia’s deep respect for Nigeria’s contributions to regional peace, democracy, and development, particularly during Liberia’s most difficult times.
