Liberian Students in Suzhou Set for Inauguration and Welcoming Program
Suzhou, China – The Suzhou Union of Liberian Students will host its official Inauguration and Welcoming Program on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, bringing together Liberian scholars, friends, and well-wishers for a day of unity, culture, and celebration.
As part of preparations for this grand occasion, the Union’s International body a few days ago organized a brief welcoming activity aimed at energizing the student community and fostering school spirit.
According to the Union’s Executive Committee, the program will feature two major segments designed to promote friendship and collaboration among both continuing and newly arrived Liberian students in Suzhou.
The outdoor segment will commence at 4:00 PM on the university campus, featuring a variety of sporting activities intended to encourage teamwork and wellness. Later in the evening, the indoor program will begin at 8:00 PM, during which the Union will officially inaugurate its new leadership and formally welcome incoming students. The ceremony will conclude with a reception.
The Union emphasized that the presence and support of the broader community will serve as a great source of motivation as Liberian students continue to pursue their academic and professional goals in China.
“We eagerly anticipate the pleasure of welcoming our fellow students, partners, and well-wishers to this milestone event,” the Union stated in its announcement.
The inauguration is expected to strengthen bonds within the Liberian student community in Suzhou while reinforcing the values of solidarity, cultural pride, and academic excellence among Liberians studying abroad.
