Emmanuel Fully: Liberia’s Rising Star at Left-Back

Liberia’s journey in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers takes a big step on September 4, when the Lone Star team faces Tunisia in an important match.

The national team’s defense looks strong, with nearly €10 million worth of talent, including Samson Dweh from FC Viktoria Plzeň (€6.5 million) and Prince Balde from FC Rosengård. But the player getting the most attention is Emmanuel Fully, the young left-back winning fans across Liberia.

Fully joined Slavia Prague from Real Muja FC for just €100,000 and made a great debut on August 9, helping the team to a 3-1 win. Known for his versatility and calm under pressure, he is now Liberia’s top choice at left-back and can also play center-back if needed.

With four key qualifiers left in 2025, experts say Liberia should give Fully more playing time to help him settle into the team and strengthen the squad. His rise shows the growing talent in Liberia, bringing hope for a stronger Lone Star team in the future.
