Monrovia, August 6, 2025 – In a bid to strengthen economic cooperation and capacity building, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Yin Chengwu, joined Liberian officials at the Certificate Presentation Ceremony for the Seminar on Industrial Clustering and Investment Promotion held in Monrovia. The event marked the successful conclusion of a specialized training program aimed at boosting Liberia’s industrial and investment potential.
Ambassador Yin congratulated participants from Liberia’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry on completing the program, highlighting the seminar’s role in sharing practical knowledge and experiences critical for driving industrial development. He emphasized China’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation through capacity building, investment promotion, and knowledge exchange.
“We are ready to work with Liberia to strengthen pragmatic cooperation, advance China-Liberia trade and economic relations, and further consolidate our strategic partnership,” Ambassador Yin stated during the ceremony.
Liberia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, who also attended the event, expressed gratitude for China’s continued support in key development areas. She acknowledged the seminar as a valuable contribution to Liberia’s human resource development and affirmed the government’s interest in expanding cooperation with China in commerce, trade administration, and investment promotion.
Minister Dagoseh reiterated that such collaborations align with Liberia’s national development priorities and are crucial for achieving mutual economic gains.
The training program, jointly facilitated by Chinese institutions and supported through diplomatic cooperation, is part of a broader effort to enhance Liberia’s institutional capacity in industrial clustering, policy design, and investment strategies.
The ceremony ended on a note of mutual appreciation and optimism, with both nations pledging to continue fostering sustainable partnerships that contribute to inclusive development and long-term economic transformation.
