In our first edition of Spotlighting Liberian Businesses, we proudly feature Mrs. Hawa Dunor Varney — an inspiring entrepreneur, businesswoman, and farmer making remarkable strides in Liberia’s agriculture sector.
Mrs. Varney is the driving force behind the Women in Agriculture for Sustainable Development (WASUDEV), a local NGO empowering women and promoting food sustainability across the country. She also co-founded Green Basket Agro Enterprise, a women-led agribusiness providing fresh, organic fruits and vegetables to homes and businesses throughout Liberia.
Her dedication recently earned her recognition as one of MTN’s MoMo Heroes, celebrating her outstanding contributions to agriculture and women’s empowerment.
Congratulations, Mrs. Varney! Your story reflects the innovation, resilience, and passion fueling Liberia’s growth.
