Deputy Information Minister Daniel Sando has strongly condemned Liberian peace activist Madam Leymah Gbowee for what he described as an unfair, comparison between the former CDC-led government and the current Unity Party administration.
Sando labeled Gbowee’s remarks as biased, misleading, unfair, and lacking sincerity.
His comments come in response to an interview Gbowee gave to New Narratives, in which the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize laureate claimed that current government officials made promises during the 2023 elections that they have since failed to fulfill.
Speaking at a MICAT press briefing, Sando referred to the previous CDC administration as a “den of thieves”, accusing it of corruption, mismanagement of public funds, unexplained killings, misuse of state resources, and fostering widespread insecurity , which he said not be compared to the current regime of Unity Party..
