The JNB Foundation has received a large shipment of liquid fertilizer to support farmers across Liberia. The shipment includes a 20-foot container filled with thousands of cartons, each containing 24 bottles of fertilizer.
The total value of the donation is USD $220,000.
According to Hon. Jackson K. George, Jr., the Foundation’s Executive Director, this fertilizer will help farmers in all 15 counties of Liberia grow more food. He explained that one bottle of fertilizer can fertilize an entire acre of farmland, which is a big help for small-scale farmers.
The Foundation has announced that 70% of the fertilizer will be given to the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry will then distribute it fairly to farmers all over the country.
Although the donors who made this donation wish to stay anonymous, their support shows their commitment to helping Liberia develop and improve food security, in line with the government’s ARREST Agenda.
Hon. George also reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to helping Liberia’s farmers and supporting the government’s efforts to increase food production. The fertilizer was received on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Foundation’s headquarters in Rehap, Paynesville, Liberia.
