Former CDC Official Dr. Lester Tenny Criticizes Ex-President Weah’s Committee Formation

Former government official and longtime member of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Dr. Lester Tenny, has openly criticized ex-President George Weah for his recent decision to create a large committee to build the party’s new headquarters.

In a firm statement, Dr. Tenny questioned why such a big committee was needed for a job he believes a small team could handle. “What will 23 people, plus even more from subcommittees, achieve that five people couldn’t?” he asked.

He also pointed out that Weah himself is not part of the committee, even though he is the main beneficiary of the CDC. Tenny expressed doubt about Weah’s commitment, noting that Weah has refused to offer one of his many houses, including condos at the Baptist Seminary, as a temporary party headquarters. “If Weah really cared, the party could use that space until the new HQ is ready. But no, he thinks CDC members aren’t clean enough and will dirty his property,” Tenny said.

Dr. Tenny also brought up past issues with the CDC, like the well-known “dollar rally” fundraising campaign. He claimed there has been little to no accountability for the money raised, questioning the party’s transparency.

Calling the committee’s creation “dishonest trickery” and “mental warfare against disappointed supporters,” Tenny accused Weah of taking advantage of CDC supporters’ trust. “This is an abuse of human dignity. Your time to be exposed, even by the least educated, will come. There is light after darkness, George,” he warned.

The former official ended by saying that while many of Weah’s followers remain caught up in “naivety and ignorance,” the truth will come out in the end.
