BnB Liberia, a fast-growing fintech and licensed money transfer company, held a lively agent appreciation and giveaway event on Friday, July 25, at its headquarters on Randall & Benson Streets in central Monrovia. The event, organized in partnership with the Liberia National Lottery Authority (NLA), showcased BnB’s increasing role in promoting financial inclusion and innovation in Liberia’s expanding digital economy.
The ceremony brought together agents, business partners, and financial stakeholders from across the country, highlighting the importance of BnB’s agent network as the foundation of its success. Celebrating five years in operation, the company has built a network of over 1,000 agents nationwide, making it one of the top players in Liberia’s fast-growing fintech sector.
Celebrating Growth and Partnership
During the event, BnB executives praised their agents’ dedication, noting how their hard work has helped the company grow from a startup in 2019 into a trusted name in digital financial services. “This gathering shows the impact our agents have in connecting Liberians to quick and reliable financial services,” a company spokesperson said. “We are proud of what we’ve achieved together and excited for the future.”

Lead Business Development Officer, Mr. Amadors D. Jarey, called the day a milestone for the company. “This is one of our biggest days. We thank all our agents and customers who have made BnB a trusted name,” he said, highlighting the company’s steady growth across both urban and rural Liberia.
Agents received prizes such as motorbikes, flat-screen TVs, and smartphones—recognizing their hard work and encouraging their continued commitment.
Agents at the Heart of BnB
BnB’s Managing Director, Mr. David Ojo, stressed the key role agents play in the company’s success. “At BnB, our agents come first. Without them, there is no BnB,” Ojo said. “We started with a dream, and five years later, we have over a thousand agents—and that number keeps growing.”
Ojo added that besides expanding the agent network, BnB continues to innovate through its technology platforms. The BnB CashApp and BnB POS services let customers send and receive money, track transactions in real time, and access financial services easily—even in remote and underserved areas.
“We focus on growing our agent network and offering new products to meet customer needs,” Ojo said. “These anniversary giveaways are our way of giving back to the people who make it all possible.”
Building Trust Through Transparency
The partnership with the Liberia National Lottery Authority was highlighted as a way to build credibility and trust. Mr. Baccus K. Sargbeh of the NLA assured attendees that the raffle and giveaways were conducted fairly and transparently.
“The government established the NLA in 2015 to ensure lottery activities are transparent,” Sargbeh explained. “People no longer have to worry about winners being preselected. We make sure these events are honest.”
The Bigger Picture: Fintech’s Role in Liberia’s Economy
BnB’s celebration comes as Liberia’s digital finance industry continues to grow rapidly. According to the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), mobile money and remittance services—led by platforms like BnB, Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money, and Sendwave—processed an estimated US$2.5 billion in transactions in 2024. This represents nearly 60% of the nation’s GDP, showing how important fintech has become in a country where fewer than 20% of people use traditional banks.
Remittances alone made up about US$430 million in 2024, roughly 25% of GDP, according to the World Bank. Experts say fintech platforms like BnB not only offer fast and affordable ways to send and receive money but also create jobs, empower small businesses, and improve access in rural areas.

One raffle winner, Mr. Lewis W. Pomie Jr., CEO of Growing Seeds Finance and Investment Ltd., thanked BnB but suggested future events focus more on small business owners. “It’s the smaller players who really need support like this,” he said, emphasizing the role fintech companies can play in helping entrepreneurs succeed.
As Liberia’s fintech market becomes more competitive, BnB is counting on innovation, trust, and strong agent loyalty to stay ahead. With solid partnerships, expanding technology platforms, and a dedicated agent network, the company is committed to building a more inclusive financial system that serves all Liberians.
“We invite entrepreneurs across the country to join us,” a BnB spokesperson said. “Together, we can build a more inclusive and modern financial system that benefits every Liberian.”
With five years of progress behind it and big plans ahead, BnB Liberia’s journey shows a larger trend: fintechs are no longer just remittance services—they are engines of growth and financial inclusion, shaping Liberia’s economic future one transaction at a time.
