EPA Condemns Corporate Environmental Violations, Cites Deforestation, Pollution, and Illegal Sand Mining
During a two-day workshop in Monrovia, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emphasized its commitment to protecting ecosystems and public health by raising concerns over poor environmental practices. Training 40 participants—including 25 independent journalists and EPA staff—the agency highlighted the dangers of deforestation, pollution, waste mismanagement, and unauthorized sand mining, all of which threaten biodiversity and human well-being.
The EPA urged individuals, businesses, and governments to adopt sustainable practices, enforce regulations, and embrace eco-friendly solutions, reaffirming that environmental protection is not just a legal obligation but a moral responsibility essential for a healthier and more sustainable future.
