Hon. Henrique Wilson Donates Air Conditioner Worth L$70K to Southeastern Regional Police Headquarters

HARPER, Maryland County – Former senatorial candidate Hon. Henrique B. Wilson has once again demonstrated his dedication to the security and wellbeing of Maryland County by donating a 9,000 BTU Air Conditioner valued at Seventy Thousand Liberian Dollars (LRD 70,000) to the Southeastern Regional Police Headquarters in Harper.

The donation, presented on August 18, 2025, through Team Henrique B. Wilson, comes at a time when the police are working to refurbish and improve their head office in Harper City. According to Wilson, the gesture is part of his long-standing commitment to strengthening security institutions and ensuring that officers work under better conditions to effectively protect lives and property.

Presenting the item on his behalf, members of Team Wilson described the donation as a small but meaningful step toward enhancing the working environment for police officers who continue to serve with dedication despite limited resources. “Hon. Wilson has always placed the welfare of Maryland County at the center of his priorities, and today’s contribution underscores his belief that security is the foundation of community development,” one team representative noted.

This is not Wilson’s first contribution to the security sector. In 2022, he supported the Maryland County Watch Forum by donating flashlights, batteries, and khaki t-shirts, which helped create uniformity among local watch members and boosted community policing efforts. His consistent engagement with the security sector, both formal and informal, has positioned him as one of the county’s strongest advocates for law and order.

Speaking on behalf of the police, Southeastern Regional Commander Emmanuel Dennis expressed profound gratitude for the donation. He emphasized that the contribution would not only help improve the comfort of officers but also serve as motivation for the men and women tasked with ensuring safety in Maryland and other southeastern counties. “This gesture is a testament to Hon. Wilson’s leadership and his genuine concern for the people. It will go a long way in boosting the morale of our officers,” Dennis remarked.

Hon. Wilson, widely known for his grassroots connection and development-oriented initiatives, has repeatedly stated that the security of his people remains one of his highest priorities. He believes that providing logistical and material support to the police is essential to building trust and strengthening the effectiveness of law enforcement.

As the Southeastern Regional Police Headquarters undergoes renovation, Wilson’s donation has been described as timely and impactful. Community members and local leaders have praised the act, noting that such contributions highlight the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting peace and stability.

Observers say Hon. Wilson’s repeated interventions in the county’s security sector illustrate his broader vision of regeneration and community development. Beyond politics, he has continued to champion initiatives that directly affect the day-to-day lives of Marylanders, ensuring that both security personnel and ordinary citizens benefit from his leadership.

With this latest gesture, many believe Hon. Wilson is sending a strong message that leadership is not only about political office but also about consistent service and commitment to the people.
